Marco Polo

Дворецът "Казерта"

Неапол, Италия

The palace was built during the reign of the Neapolitan King Carlos III de Bourbon and construction began in 1752. Completed in 1845, the castle can be compared in beauty even to the Palace of Versailles. A silk factory was also built in the park of Caserta. The Royal Gardens have an area of over 120 hectares and are divided into two main parts - the Italian and the English Garden. The English garden aims to recreate the "natural chaos" of unspoiled nature.

In 1996, the Caserta Palace was listed as a UNESCO World and Cultural Heritage Site. It is also often used as a set for a number of Hollywood films, such as "Star Wars", "Mission Impossible" and others.
